Choose Your Role

Infantry Soldier

As an infantryman, you will learn the drill of the era, manoeuvring as part of a unit. You will be trained in the working and firing of a musket and how to handle it under orders, and take part in battles against the French. Suitably-disguised women are very welcome to play Redcoat soldiers and fire in the front line if they choose.

Musician (drum or fife)

Musicians are a vital part of the regiment, communicating orders to the soldiers and lifting everyone’s spirits. You will need to learn to play these instruments if you don’t already play something similar in real life.

Camp Follower

Camp followers bring history to life running the period camp, participating in living history displays and chatting to the public if you wish, making sure the whole experience is authentic and fun.
